Mafia Wars™ is an epic story, set in 1920s New York. Your name is Joe and you arrived from Europe aspiring to achieve the American dream. However, the dream comes in many forms, and you decide to follow the supposedly quick and easy route to success and glory. You swiftly find yourself working for one of New York’s Mafia Families, where your main ambition is to ascend in the ranks. Do you have the guts to show Joe the way and ultimately lead him to become “The Don”?

Mafia Wars™ is a story-driven action game combined with exciting strategic elements that force the player to think twice whether to rush straight into the enemy field, or choose an alternative path of action. There is also an interactive map that helps the player to determine the best strategy to solve the mission and gain a new rank in the Family.

In Story Mode, the objective is to accomplish tasks assigned by Don Carlo, head of the Mafia family. Your early incentive is to gain Don's respect and trust. To accomplish this you must start off doing ‘favours’ for no financial reward. These early assignments give you the chance to show how good an earner you are, and if you can be entrusted with more lucrative activities. Story Mode consists of seven large levels each with different goals and level of difficulty.

In addition to Story Mode, Mafia Wars™ features a Last Man Standing Mode. In this mode, your task is to stay alive as long as possible by taking out aggressive enemy gangsters who attack you from all directions. This mode provides an additional element to the game-play for those looking for fast and furious yet straightforward action!

Mafia Wars™ introduces a revolutionary isometric-engine for mobile phones with multiple characters ranging from enemy gangsters and prostitutes, to ordinary civilians and policemen. The player has a wide selection of weapons in his array, from a pistol and sawn-off shotgun to a submachine gun. In addition, the dynamically changing environment actually allows the player to blow up barrels and cars in the game field, and create shortcuts by blowing up walls!
